Getting ready / Preparándome

Here are some canes I prepared to make my petroglyphs pens and sets. I was putting it off since they are hard to make canes but they came out pretty good. Actually I was amazed at the very little distortion I had at the end of the "coquí" petroglyph cane (look at the left piece of the square one). To those of you who are not from Puerto Rico the "coquí" petroglyph is supposed to be a drawing from our natives the "Taínos" of the "coquí" which is a tiny beige frog that sings every night in our island.

Aquí unas murrinas (canes) que he preparado de petroglífos de los nativos de PR los Taínos. Estuve post poniendo el hacerlas pues son difíciles pero me he sorprendido de la poca distorción que obtuve (vea el padazo a la izquierda). Este petroglífo se le llama "coquí" que es un "sapito" pequeño que canta todas las noches en Puerto Rico.

This is one of the public's favorite items I usually carry at artisan fairs/ festivals here in Puerto Rico.
